The Red Rose Blue Star Moms, PA 202 is hosting a Scavenger Hunt Adventure at the Lancaster Cemetery on Saturday, June 26th beginning at 1pm. The event will be a scavenger hunt (escape room style) with puzzles to solve at each station. These are adult level puzzles similar to what you would find in an escape room. No knowledge of the cemetery is needed. All are invited to participate! Form a team, solve the puzzles, and learn the history on some of Lancaster County's most famous residents. Teams can register online at $15 per person. Teams will receive a drawstring bag, clipboard, waters, and some other surprise goodies. There are a limited number of teams available, register early to secure your spot!
The Red Rose Blue Star Mothers, PA202 have been working for 2 years to identify and honor each US Veteran buried in the Lancaster Cemetery. We have identified over 1,200 U.S. Veterans so far (18 from the Revolutionary War). The next phase of this project is to begin to recover and restore the stones of our U.S. Veterans. This fundraiser will allow us to repair, restore, replace many of the damaged or fallen stones of these worthy men and women.
What to Expect:
At check in, each team will receive a Scavenger Hunt Adventure sheet with a list of puzzles and a map of the cemetery. Travel to each designated location on the map and together as a team solve the puzzle while learning the history around some of our permanent Lancaster residents. Solve all the puzzles and return to check in for a celebratory team photo!
Suggested Team Size: 2 to 5 people
